ESIL Membership (New and renewing members)

Membership of the ESIL is open to all those with an interest in international law and in contributing to the realisation of the goals of the Society. No limitations of nationality or qualification apply.

Membership of the ESIL entitles you to:
  • Invitations to all ESIL events
  • Discounted registration fees for all ESIL events
  • Regular Newsletters with information about the activities of the Society
  • Special offers from our institutional members
  • Eligibility to join any or all of the ESIL Interest Groups and to participate in their online forums, and also to set up new Interest Groups in your area of expertise
  • An optional subscription to the European Journal of International Law (four issues per year)
  • The opportunity to network with other professionals working in the field of international law

    Please note: Membership is for the calendar year (January to December) regardless of the date of joining the society.

    *As a non-profit organisation, the Society is entirely dependent on its membership for its operation. The Society is in particular most grateful to those members who choose to become its Patrons by making a special financial contribution. The Society will express its thanks to all Patrons on its website and in its publications, as well as at all events which it organises. ESIL Patron status is for one year and can be renewed each year.
    **Retired members are persons over 60 years of age and who have retired from full-time work.
