Executive Committee

The Committee meets to deal with the day-to-day management of the Institute.

It prepares decision-making documents for the Academic Council, and is part of the decision-making process which leads to High Council decisions.

A number of tasks are delegated to the Executive Committee by the Academic Council, for example:

  • approval of the composition of examining boards
  • nomination of research assistants and postdoctoral fellows
  • nomination of visiting professors and part-time professors

 

Composition

Ex officio members:

  • The President (Chair)
  • The Secretary General (without a vote)
  • The four Heads of departments
  • The Director of the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies
  • The Director of the Postdoctoral Max Weber Programme
  • The Dean of Studies
  • One representative of the researchers
  • Head of Budget and Financial Service (as Adviser)
  • The secretariat is provided by the Director of Academic Service
