Human Rights Council

In November 2007 the European University Institute, together with the Istituto Affari Internazionali in Rome and the Institute for Human Rights at Åbo Akademi University, organized a workshop in Florence on 'The New Human Rights Council: The First Two Years'.

The purpose of the workshop was to evaluate and assess the potentials of the newly established United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) in promoting universal respect for the protection of all human rights and fundamental freedoms.
