How to Apply

How do I apply for the course(s)?

Please read the information on this page before completing the application form.

To apply for the course, you need to fill in the online application form and ensure that we receive a reference from a professor or an employer. The reference can be sent to the Academy - by you or by the referee - by email, fax or post. The email address is academy@eui.eu .

Please do not send any additional documents and do not post the application form.

The deadline for sending the application form is Friday 12 April 2012. We will let you know if you have been accepted as soon as possible after the deadline; if you have not heard from us by Friday 11 May, please get in touch.

Who can apply?

The courses are for advanced students of law or related fields, including lawyers, specialists, professors, researchers and law students. Undergraduates may apply but are accepted only in exceptional circumstances.

All nationalities may apply. All classes are in English so you need to speak English well.

Enrolment numbers are limited and admission is based on merit.

How much do the courses cost?

The enrolment fee for the 2012 courses is €600 for one course and €900 for both courses. This covers tuition, reading materials and lunches at the university cafeteria. The fee does not cover accommodation or travel costs.

If you are offered a place on the course, we will send you instructions for  paying the fee.  If you then have to cancel your enrolment before the course starts, 75% of the enrolment fee can be reimbursed.

Is there any financial assistance available?

A very limited number of fee waivers will be available, to be awarded at the discretion of the directors. Applicants who need a fee waiver should send a short email explaining their situation to academy@eui.eu
