Information for Participants

 

 

 

When will I receive the course materials? 

A link to access the online reading materials will be sent to participants before the course starts.

Printed reading materials for the whole course are distributed during registration on the first day of the course. (Remember to bring a bag to carry everything.)

 

How do I get to the course? 

Courses take place at the Villa Schifanoia  and start punctually at 10.00 a.m. 

Classes are Monday to Friday, 10.00 to 16.30. Attendance at all classes is obligatory.

 

Can I use the EUI Library? 

Course participants can use the EUI Library , which is at the Badia, by presenting the EUI card given to them during registration.  You must also sign the registration list at the Library entrance desk.

Books may be consulted but not taken out on loan. Participants can photocopy the material or download on a memory stick.

You may buy a photocopy card at the desk. When photocopying, using microforms room, the database services, or requesting information from library staff, etc. you are requested to respect the priority access for EUI staff and researchers.

The Library is open Monday to Saturday, 08.30 to 22.30.

 

Do participants receive a certificate? 

A certificate of attendance is given to those participants who have attended all classes.

 

Do I have to take an examination? 

There is an examination on the last day of the course. You can choose to take this examination but you do not have to. More information about examinations .  

 

Is accommodation provided for course participants? 

No. The Academy provides general information about accommodation in and around Florence but successful participants must find their own accommodation. Information is sent to those applicants who are offered a place.

 

Do I need medical insurance? 

Participants are advised to purchase international medical insurance in their home country before leaving. The Academy does not provide medical insurance and cannot cover medical fees.
