Am I eligible for a grant?

What qualifications do I need to be admitted?
You must have the minimum degree requirements established by the respective national grant authorities as listed in Admission Requirements
Do I need an M.A. to be admitted?
Some national grant-awarding authorities require an M.A.
Can I apply for an M.A. at the EUI?
No. We do award an M.Res after the first year of the Ph.D programme, but candidates are not admitted just for the M.Res.
What should I put in my research proposal?
See the departmental web pages for Research Themes. Propose a research topic that fits with the departmental profile and which can be supervised by a faculty member.
Are language certificates (Toefl, Cambridge, IELTS) relevant for my application?
No, language certificates are not relevant for admission and are not requested for application. See Language Requirements.
Is a GRE test score needed for the application?
No
