Students in their third and fourth years are expected to work on their thesis projects under the guidance of their supervisor and to attend the Department’s workshops and seminars. If the student is likely to go to the job-market the following academic year, then he will be required to present a paper in the ‘Pre-Defence Year Forum’, otherwise the student must present a version of the current work in one of the working groups before the end of the Third Year. Students in the Fourth Year who have not already presented in the ‘Pre-Defence Year Forum’ during their Third Year must do so before the end of their Fourth Year.
