Nicolas Petit

Nicolas Petit is Professor of Competition Law at the Department of Law of the European University Institute (EUI). His research in recent years has focused on EU and US competition law, competition and innovation, law and economics, and law in a context of technological change. Nicolas Petit uses mixed approaches including law and economics, doctrinal and empirical legal methods.

Current Professors

Resident full-time professors who are appointed to the EUI usually for a period of eight years. Our Faculty comes from a wide range of universities throughout Europe and beyond

Director of Graduate Studies

Prof. Mathias Siems was appointed Director of Graduate Studies in January 2021 and has been Professor of Private Law and Market Regulation at the European University Institute since January 2019.

Researchers

Successful candidates come from all the European Union Member States, Associated States and some non-EU countries to study for a Ph.D. or an LL.M. in the Department of Law at the EUI.
