The Foreign Relations Law of the European Union: A Constitutional Perspective
The external dimension of the Area of Freedom, Security and Justice provides a sectoral context in which to explore a number of the current issues in EU external policy, in particular the development of new and flexible ways of sharing competence between EC/EU and Member States, and the increasing involvement of the EU in fields hitherto regarded as the preserves of the State, including migration, private international law and cooperation with third countries and the UN over terrorism and organised crime.
