Seminar description
Theories of justice have often implicitly relied on the state as the by-default locus in which different forms of inequalities including gender or ethnocultural hierarchies, as well as economic disparities must be addressed. This seminar shifts the focus of analysis and explores both the new forms of inequalities that are produced or enhanced at the global level and possibility and limits to the idea of redressing inequalities through global mechanisms.
Active participation is required as well as drafting a Reaction Paper commenting on the readings for each session.
