Visitors

The Department of Law admits a limited number of external scholars who wish to do research in the Library and participate in academic activities. The Department receives many requests, and must be very selective and limit the number of visitors here at any one time.

Precedence is given to scholars whose research interests relate directly to work being carried out in the Department and is of particular interest to one or more of the Department’s teaching staff.

The Department does not admit visitors for the sole purpose of following seminars, nor do we make such appointments during June-August when there are no academic activities.

Visitors must be entirely self-financed as the Department has no funds to support them. We are unable to offer either secretarial assistance or telephone expenses.

Before applying for the status of a Visiting Fellow or Visiting Student, please check whether a simple application to the Library as an External User  would not be sufficient to cover your needs.
