Biographical note 

Costanza Hermanin is a researcher in the department of social and political science of the European University Institute, where she is completing her Ph.D. on the implementation of EU anti-discrimination policy on grounds of race and ethnic origin in France, Germany and Italy.

After completing a double Master's-MPhil degree in Paris, Ccostanza worked for the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for the European Commission's Secretariat General, and for the Centre d'Etudes européennes of Sciences-Po Paris.

 

Research interests 

Her research interests comprise EU policies and institutions, and more specifically immigration policy and aspects related to the social inclusion of migrants and ethnic minorities in Western Europe.

In the past two years, she has been conducting her research thanks to visiting positions at the Wissenschaftszentrum Berlin für Sozialforschung (WZB) and at the Centre d'Etudes et Recherches Internationales (CERI - Paris).
