Power Asymmetry between the EU and Africa? An Assessment of African Leverage
The project examines the EU's relations in the aid, trade and migration fields with a set of African countries. It questions why some countries, despite an evident power asymmetry between the EU and Africa, are able to successfully influence and reach their preferences vis-a-vis the EU.
It focuses especially on these countries' perceptions of the EU as a foreign policy actor and how this affects their strategies, choices, and preferences in their relations with the EU
