The eighth session of the Meeting will take place from 21–25 March 2007 in Florence and Montecatini Terme and will bring together more than 200 scholars from the Middle East & North Africa (MENA), Europe, and elsewhere.

Inaugural lecture

Prof. Ghassan Salamé (Institut d'études politiques, Sciences-Po, Paris) will deliver the inaugural lecture 'The Middle East, Petrol, Politics and Prophets'.
