The Middle East Working Group

Over the last decade, the Middle East has acquired significant importance in international and European politics, and has increasingly attracted the interest of EUI scholars.
The MEWG group comprises researchers, Fellows and professors at the EUI whose research focus revolves around the Middle East and North Africa (hereafter MENA, understood in its broader sense i.e. including the area from Morocco to Afghanistan). In addition to developing and encouraging research synergies across departments, centres and disciplines, this group provides a forum for sharing perspectives, research methodologies and work-in-progress.
Structure:
The group meets once a month to discuss, share and debate current work (presentations of papers or research proposals, discussion of articles, books and methodologies).
