Transatlantic Programme
Mission statement and structure
The Transatlantic Programme of the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies is dedicated to fostering the study of the transatlantic relationship, past and present.
It conducts basic and policy-oriented research in an interdisciplinary setting, and aims to improve scholarly understanding of the forces that shape the transatlantic relationship and its role in global processes.
The Transatlantic Programme was established in 2000. It has been made possible by generous grants, first from British Petrol (BP) and presently from the Republic of Ireland.
It operates under the direction of Stefano Bartolini , Director of the Robert Schuman Centre.
Prof. Pascal Vennesson (RSCAS Joint Chair with the Social and Political Sciences Department) collaborates with the Programme and oversees in particular projects on political and security relations.
