Working Group on Social
and Economic Inequality
The working group defines
inequality in a very broad sense. We plan to have presentations on the following
non-exhaustive list of topics related to social and economic inequality:
inequality of educational opportunities, post-industrial class structure, gender inequality, ethnic penalties in education and in the
labour market, labour market transitions, happiness, poverty and family
dynamics. We welcome participation and presentations from fellows and

Seminar Structure
Each presenter will have 30 minutes
to present his/her work. The discussant will briefly comment on the paper and
the floor will, then, be open for discussion. The paper presented in each
section will be distributed in advance.
