Valentina Sara Vadi


Valentina Vadi is PhD researcher at the Law Department, European University Institute, Florence. She is a qualified lawyer at the Florence Bar (I) and member of the Board of Editors of the European Journal of Legal Studies.

Her doctoral thesis focuses on international investment law and the right to health, with particular focus on intellectual property regulation. She holds degrees from Siena (J.D. and M. P. Sc.), Oxford (M. Juris in European and Comparative Law), and from the European University Institute (M. Res.- Law). Valentina Vadi has been an Erasmus fellow at the University of Freiburg (CH) and a visiting student at the London School of Economics (UK). She has completed further non-degree studies at University of Florence (I), Queen Mary University of London (UK), Bocconi University, Milan (I), and Hamline University School of Law, St Paul Minnesota (US).

Areas of interest include international dispute settlement, international environmental law, cultural heritage and international trade law.
