INTRODUCTION

The aim of this website is to provide those who wish to do historical research involving the use of Yiddish source material with information on archives, institutions, journals, etcetera. I hope it can thus serve as a useful introduction. It is a work in progress, especially the THEMES section.

Please send any links, comments and feedback you might have to: Gerben Zaagsma.

-- This website will be redesigned and relaunched in Winter 2010 --

Please note that several entries on the new portal European History Primary Sources link to digitized Jewish and Yiddish primary sources (either perform a free text search for "Jewish" and/or "Yiddish" or select "Yiddish" in the languages menu).
