Jorge A. F. Godinho has defended his PhD thesis on September 2006. The thesis title is 'Patrimonial strategies of crime control. An enquiry into the general evolution and human rights implications of international and European criminal law initiatives regarding the financing of terrorism, money laundering, confiscation, asset freezing, and associated detection mechanisms'. He is currently an associate professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Macau (Macau Special Administrative Region of the Peoples's Republic of China), where he serves as coordinator of the Master and postgraduate program in International Business Law, and as coordinator of the legal subjects taught in the Faculty of Business Administration. His current academic interests include general features and constitutional aspects of Macau law, gaming law, civil and commercial law, criminal law, international and EU law.
