Education Master of Arts, graduated in history from the University of Helsinki 18.4.2000. Besides history (80 study credits), grades in Italian philology (30 credits), Latin (30 credits), and theoretical philosophy (20 credits).
Master's Thesis: "Paolo Sarpi and the Venetian interdict 1606-1607 (in Finnish).

Specialization Participating in a postgraduate seminar led by professors Erkki Kouri and Markku Peltonen from September 2000 to May 2002. At the same time, additional studies in Italian philology (20 study credits).
Academic year 2002-2003 in Venice, doing research in Archivio di stato, Biblioteca Marciana and different libraries of the University of Venice.
Since September 2004, research student at the European University Institute.
Licentiate's Thesis: "Nature, ethics and politics in the thought of Paolo Sarpi", 2004.

Language Mother tongue: Finnish. Excellent or good knowledge in read, spoken
skills and written English and Italian. Good or basic knowledge in Swedish, French, Spanish, Latin and German.
