Intellectual History Seminars at the IUE

This series of seminars studies the hermeneutic and methodological traditions that have dominated the study of intellectual history and the history of political thought in Europe. The course has two principal aims. It seeks to stimulate study of the historiography of intellectual history, cultural history and the history of political thought, focusing on distinct approaches to them. The seminars will also address -and offer opportunities to discuss- major problems of scholarly interpretation and research, which are at the centre of a number of recent approaches.
