Member States and Associate Member States 

Candidates from EU Member State, Associate Member States (and Turkey) do not qualify for grants made available to the EUI by the relevant national authority but they may apply separately for other grants from private/public institutions, or be accepted without a grant.

There is no tuition fee for LL.M. candidates from EU Member States, Associate Member States or Turkey. 

 

Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs 

The Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores y de Cooperación (MAE-AECI) awards a limited number of grants to LL.M. candidates from the Latin American countries of Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haití, Republica Dominicana, Paraguay, Bolivia, Perú, Ecuador, Cuba, Colombia, Costa Rica, Brasil, México, Chile, Venezuela, Panamá, Argentina, Uruguay .

The Ministry also covers tuition fees. 

 

Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs 

The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs awards grants to  LL.M. candidates from: Croatia, the Russian Federation, Georgia and the CIS .

The Ministry also covers tuition fees. 

 

Other Non-EU States 

Candidates from other non-EU states must pay the tuition fee of €12,000. The President of the European Institute is authorised to reduce or waive fees for candidates from developing countries. 

 

European University Institute 

The EUI awards up to 5 yearly grants of € 5,000 to successful LL.M. applicants who are not eligible for other grants. This financial contribution is awarded by decision of the department, to the 5 top-ranked candidates selected for admission.
