I studied at the university of Bologna, where I obtained my first Degree (“laurea”) in Economics in 2000, and at the University of Rome 1, “La Sapienza”, where I obtained my Doctoral Degree in Economics in 2005.

Under the supervision of Prof. Guido Cozzi (and the external supervision of Prof. Karl Shell). I wrote my doctoral dissertation on “The Role of ‘Knightian Uncertainty’ in Sunspot Theory and Growth Theory”, which was awarded the SIE prize from the Italian Economic Association (“Società Italiana degli Economisti”) for the “best doctoral thesis in Economics in 2005”.

I spent the academic year 2004/2005 at Maastricht University as a Marie Curie Fellow. In 2005/2006, as Jean Monnet Fellow at the European University Institute, I was a member of the ‘European Forum’ working on a project entitled “A Growth Agenda for Europe”.

In 2006/2007 I was a poastdoctoral Fellow at the Max Weber Programme, European University Institute.

My main interests are Microeconomics: decision making under uncertainty, behavioural economics; and Macroeconomics: entrepreneurship, innovation and economic growth.
