Alicia Hinarejos earned her DPhil (Ph.D.) from the University of Oxford, where she also got an MPhil and a Magister Juris in European and Comparative Law, both with Distinction. She also holds a BA in Law and a Masters in Constitutional Law from the University of Valencia, Spain, and a BA in Political Sciences from the UNED, also in Spain.

She is, since 2007, the William Golding Junior Research Fellow at Brasenose College, Oxford, and a Research Fellow at the Institute of European and Comparative Law, Faculty of Law, University of Oxford. She has taught EC law, Constitutional law and Public International law at Magdalen, Oriel and Brasenose College (Oxford).

Alicia’s research focuses on the constitutional law of the EU; mainly judicial control, human rights and the interaction between EU, EC and national law. Her work has appeared, to date, in journals such as Common Market Law Review, European Law Review and the Yearbook of European Law.
