I received my Ph.D. at The Eitan Berglas School of Economics at Tel-Aviv University in 2008. I completed my Ph.D. dissertation, under the supervision of Professor Assaf Razin, entitled, "The Political-Economy Role of Immigration in Sustaining the Social Security System". My work investigates how immigration affects the conflict of interest between young and old over the size of the pay-as-you go Social Security system, while taking into account the immigrants’ future political power.

During my Ph.D. studies I received The Gershon H. Gordon Scholarship of Social Sciences and The Eitan Berglas School of Economics Prize. I also worked as a researcher at the Aix Group (a joint group of Palestinian and Israeli researchers) at the Peres Center for Peace examining optional models for long term Palestinian-Israeli economic relation.

My research fields are international economics and political economy. I am interested in the different aspects of globalization, such as: the way international mobility of factors of production influence the political balance of power on a national level; the tension between the nation-state and globalization; the concentration of power in the global economy.
