I will complete my Ph.D. in Economics from UPF in the Fall of 2009. I hold an M.Sc. in Economics and Management from UPF, having completed undergraduate training in Economics at the LSE.

My Ph.D. thesis looks at the strategic interaction of policing authorities on the organization of criminal networks, the determinants of R&D collaboration networks and the impact of unemployment and strong family ties on marital stability.

Prior to starting my Ph.D. I worked as an Economic Consultant at the Office for National Statistics, UK, which I continued to do during my Ph.D. I have also had the opportunity to work as an economist for a private equity fund.

Broadly speaking my research interests include the study of Innovation and Industrial Organization, Organization Economics and Conflict and Polarization.

During my year at the EUI I will look at the advertising incentives and strategies of firms locked in collaborative R&D agreement, study the propagation of peer effects in networks using an experimental approach and further my understanding of issues related to Law and Economics.
