I am a Max Weber Postdoctoral Fellow at the European University Institute. My research fields are Labor Economics and Macroeconomics, with a focus on the role of heterogeneity in labour markets. My current research explores the reasons behind the change in search strategies firms employ to fill vacancies with different skill requirements. I also work on the channels through which workers of different skill groups interact, and how these interactions affect their labour market outcomes.

I received my Ph.D. in economics in May 2009 from the University of Texas at Austin, where I earned an M.S. degree in 2006. I also earned an M.A. degree in Economics from Sabanci University in 2004. I was awarded a University of Texas at Austin Graduate School Fellowship for fall 2008 - spring 2009. I worked at the Cleveland Federal Reserve Bank as a summer research assistant for the summer of 2008 and of 2009. During my graduate studies, I have been a teaching assistant to undergraduate level macroeconomics and microeconomics courses at different levels. I also taught an introductory course in macroeconomics.
