School of Transnational Governance

The School of Transnational Governance was launched at the European University Institute in Summer 2017. It is directed by Professor Miguel Poiares Maduro.

With a focus on the study, policy debate and teaching of governance beyond the state, the School aims to deliver teaching and high level training on the concepts, methods and techniques of transnational governance.

The School brings together excellent research and academic practice with the world of policy to teach both the knowledge and skills necessary to operate effectively and successfully in transnational governance.

The School combines the centrality of a single location with substantial cooperation with European and national higher education institutions, in particular those European in scope and nature, as well as partners in other regions of the world, and the worlds of policy and the private sector.
