Democratic Representation and Diversity in Migration Societies

The workshop will take place on June 25th at Universitat Pompeu Favra (Barcelona). This call for papers has been a joint-initiative by GRITIM-UPF  - Interdisciplinary Research Group in Immigration of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, and the MIGCITPOL (Migration, Citizenship and Political Participation) Standing Group of the IMISCOE  network (International Migration, Integration and Social Cohesion)

Academic Coordinators are Prof Ricard Zapata Barrero and Prof Rainer Baubock.Workshop contributions are invited to address the normative framework of a theory of diverse representation, taking into account the different approaches to citizenship, political inclusion and representation in various European states.

Proposals should be sent by 30th March 2012.
