About the GGP
Mission
The Global Governance Programme (GGP) aims to play a leading role in building-up the critical mass and promoting the European imprint in shaping the global order.
Key objectives & activities of the GGP:

set up the Academy of Global Governance (AGG), a unique executive training programme by world’s leading experts in the field of global governance targeted at"leaders of the future";

develop a number of Research Strands coordinated by EUI Professors and worldwide top scholars;

create and develop the Global Governance Network, a platform for leading global governance institutions, scholars and policy experts to exchange research, analysis and commentary;

improve and broaden doctoral and postdoctoral training with respect to global governance and world affairs at the EUI;

promote and support conferences, lectures and seminars to generate and contribute to academic and policy debates on global governance issues.
Directed by Prof. Miguel Poiares Maduro , the GGP was inaugurated in June 2010 by the President of the European Commission, José Manuel Durão Barroso.
