Eda Gemi

 Eda Gemi was born in Tirana, Albania. In 1991 she was graduated from the University “Luigj Gurakuqi”, Faculty of Psychology and Pedagogy. In the beginning of 1992 she migrated to Greece where she actually lives with her family. In 2003, she received a Master degree at Southeast European Studies from the University of Athens, Faculty of Law, Department of Political Sciences and Public Administration. Actually, she is PhD Candidate at the same University and her research explores the the level of social integration or exclusion of immigrants from the Balkan to Greek society, under a cross-sectional comparative perspective. In the framework of her research activity, she has collaborated with ELIAMEP, Charokopeio University, Center for Gender Studies of Panteio University, Research Center for Gender Equality – KETHI, IMEPO, Centre for European Constitutional Law, University of Sussex, EKEME, Economic University of Athens and Laboratory for Migration and Diaspora Studies of University of Athens. Since 2003, she helds the post of Project Officer at the Vocational Training Center–KEK EYKLIDIS, based in Athens.
