CEFMR –http://www.cefmr.pan.pl Central European Forum for Migration Research CIR –http://www.csm.org.pl/en/indexen.htm The Centre for International Relations The Centre for International Relations (CIR) is an independent, non-governmental establishment dedicated to the study of Polish foreign policy and those issues of international politics, which are of importance to Poland. The Centre’s primary objective is to offer political counselling, to describe Poland’s current international situation, and to continuously monitor the government’s foreign policy moves. The CIR coordinates the Migration and Homeland Security Program. The Program's activities revolve around the issues that concern the development of the European area of freedom, security and justice (AFSJ) and Poland's role within it as an EU border state. Research areas include: migratory flows of workers and refugees along the European East-West axis, problems related to Poland's transition from an emigration country into immigration and transit one, as well as links between the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP), the European Security Defence Policy (ESDP) and internal security issues. The CIR prepares reports and analyses, holds conferences and seminars, publishes books and articles, carries out research projects and organizes working groups.
