Open Access and International Networks

The EUI supports the principle of Open Access   and encourages scholars to facilitate the widespread dissemination of their research by submitting their publications with its Institutional Repository, Cadmus.

The EUI has signed the Berlin Declaration  on Open Access to Knowledge in the Sciences and Humanities. The Berlin declaration on Open Access to Scientific Knowledge of 22 October 2003 is one of the milestones of the open access movement. Berlin Declaration Signatories 

 


Cadmus, the EUI research repository, is searchable in and harvested by several European and international networks and portals.

Dart Europe 

A partnership of 371 research libraries and library consortia who are working together to improve global access to European research theses. Dart harvests the data of all EUI theses in full-text in Cadmus. Theses containing full-text in Cadmus are therefore found also from the Dart E-theses Portal.

Driver 

 

The Digital Repository Infrastructure Vision for European Research - a network of freely accessible digital repositories with content across academic disciplines with over 3,500,000 scientific publications from more than 295 repositories, from 38 countries. Nereus

Nereus is an international network of 31 universities with the portal, Economists Online  containing over 900,000 bibliographic references with open access full-text.  EUI Nereus profile  

Pleiadi 

Pleiadi is the portal for Italian Electronic Scientific Litterature of Institutional Repositories. The portal harvests the scientific production of Italian universities and research institutes, and has more than 430,000 records. Cadmus records are searchable from Pleiadi.
