Connection Parameters
Step 1
From the Start Menu, select Control Panel.
If your Control Panel looks like this

then click Switch To Classic View located in the upper left corner of the screen
Step 3
In the Control Panel double-click Network Connections.
In the window that opens up, right-click on Local Area Connection and with the left mouse button select Properties.
Step 4
N.B. You can have several other connections apart from those shown in the figure above. This is normal, in either case make sure you select Local Area Connection.
This screen should now be displayed:

Instruct Windows to:
- Obtain an IP address automatically
- Obtain a DNS server address automatically
Click OK until you return to the Desktop (or the screen in Step 3)
Restart the PC.
