New additions to the Altiero Spinelli fonds

Posted on 14 May 2015

SpinelliNuoviDocProfessor Alessandro Cavalli has recently donated two manuscripts written by Altiero Spinelli to the Historical Archives of the European Union. Altiero Spinelli is considered today one of the Founding fathers of the European Union, whose ideas and political life were devoted to a federally united Europe.

The first one of these new documents, entitled "Il Congresso del Popolo Europeo dopo un anno d’espansione", consists on the report presented at the second session of the European People’s Congress held in Lyon in January 1959 and published in the review Il Federalista (Year 1, 1959, Issue n. 1). The second one is composed of two parts, corresponding to two different chapters of Spinelli’s book "Tedeschi al bivio", published in 1960.

These new documents have been included in the Altiero Spinelli digitalized fonds and are now freely accessible on the web under the acronym AS. Please be aware that copyright rules still apply.
