European University Institute (EUI) with the help of the Historical Archives of the European Union (HAEU) has launched a social media campaign “40 years 40 photos” to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the EUI. Every Thursday EUI will post a photograph, courtesy of the HAEU, from the past 40 years on their Twitter, Instagram and Facebook –pages. Simultaneously the HAEU will add the photos to their online exhibition blog.
The photographs will showcase the history of the EUI from buildings under construction, high profile visitors and important events to photographs of people and the academic and social side of EUI life. Get in on the fun using the #EUI40 hashtag.
Also on the occasion of the 40th anniversary the Alcide De Gasperi Research Centre in collaboration with the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies and the Department of History and Civilization is organizing the conference “A University for Europe – Higher Education and European Integration” on Friday 28 October 2016. The conference will bring together high profile academics and EC/EU actors in Villa Salviati, Florence.
