Conference: "Irish Society, History & Culture: 100 years after 1916"

A three day conference Irish Society, History and Culture: 100 years after 1916 will be organised at Villa Salviati from Wednesday 12 to Friday 14 October 2016 by the Scuola Normale Superiore, Università degli Studi di Firenze and the European University Institute. On Friday over lunchtime, theHistorical Archives of the European Union will host the participants and present historical documents regarding Ireland and the European Union in the Alcide De Gasperi Room. The presentation will be followed by a visit to the archives vaults.
