The Council of the European Union has released a 40-minute documentary film titled The European Council: From fireside chats to key decision-maker. The film conjoins exclusive interviews with past and present insiders of the European Council and rare archival material. The film was part of the celebrations to mark the 60^th anniversary of the signing of the Rome Treaties. 

From fireside chats to key decision-maker: a history of the European Council is available in all 24 European Union languages and it can be watched or downloaded at the Council’s newsroom.
