Travelling exhibition comes to Florence

The Ever Closer Union exhibition organised by the Historical Archives of the European Union – European University Institute will travel to  Florence. It will be on display at the Library of Social Sciences of the University of Florence from 28 April to May 12 2017. The official inauguration will be on 3 May at 9:00. 

The exhibition has been organised to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Treaties of Rome in collaboration with the European Parliament, the Council of the European Union, the European Commission, the Presidency of the Council of Ministers – Department for EU Policies (Italy), Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (Italy) and ANSA – Italian news agency. 

The exhibition retraces the main stages of European integration from the creation of the first European Community (European Coal and Steel Community) to the challenges of today’s Europe through archival documents and photographic material.
