UACES fonds available for research

Posted on 28 April 2017

The UACES (University Association for Contemporary European Studies) fonds is now available for research. It comprises 53 files spanning the period 1967 to 2009. There is a 15 year rule of access, which means they are consultable 15 years after their creation. However, a few confidential documents have been closed for a longer period. The UACES is the academic association for contemporary European Studies with the object of promoting research and teaching in this interdisciplinary field.

The documents in this fonds were those produced by the administration of the Association and mainly comprise the minutes of Committee and Officer meetings as well as reports on the Annual General Meetings of the Association.

The Annual Conferences organised by the UACES are considered important dates in the calendars of academics and researchers interested in contemporary European studies.

The administrators have made a grant available annually for their members to carry out research at the HAEU, Florence. This grant was co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union and is part of a larger project ‘Europe in the Archives/Europe in the Future’ marking UACES’s 50th anniversary.
