Newspaper Collection

The Library subscribes to several current news publications.

The daily newspapers, which are available at the EUI Bar, are kept for two weeks. (Except for the International Herald Tribune which is then kept in the Library for 3 months)
Long-term access to some of them is guaranteed by the microfilm edition .

The weeklies are part of the permanent periodicals collection. Some of them are later substituted by the microfilm edition. 

• Dailies : Eight daily newspaper print subscriptions from the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain are available for EUI members.
• Weeklies : Five weekly news publications are included in the EUI Library's holdings of periodicals.
• Microfilms : Archival holdings on microfilm of over forty daily newspapers and weeklies are part of the EUI library collections, covering mostly the post-WWII period.
• Indexes : Here is a list of the printed and online indexes of some of the major news publications available for consultation in the EUI Library.
