  • The  Merriam-Webster  is a free online dictionary, thesaurus, spanish-english and medical dictionaries, audio pronunciations and more.
  • OneLook Dictionaries  (free online resource) allows for in over 600 on-line dictionaries, including general, legal and foreign dictionaries. The dictionaries range from general resources such as the Merriam-Webster's WWWebster Dictionary to specialised resources like The Cadillac Performance Dictionary.
  • Oxford Dictionaries Online  (EUI users only) is an online dictionary and language reference service of modern British, American and world English. It includes full content from Oxford's largest current English dictionaries and thesauruses, extensive examples of real English usage, detailed writing, grammar, and spelling support, as well as specialised tools for professional writers and editors.
