The Oxford Dictionary of National Biography (EUI users only) is a collection of more than 57,000 specially written biographies of the men and women from around the world who shaped all aspects of Britain's past.
Biographies: Women's History (free online resource)
The World Biographical Information System database (EUI users only) provides short biographical information on over 6 Million people from the 8th century B.C. to the present. Included are 8.5 Million digital facsimile articles from biographical reference works.

OneLook Dictionaries (free online resource) allows for in over 600 on-line dictionaries, including general, legal and foreign dictionaries. The dictionaries range from general resources such as the Merriam-Webster's WWWebster Dictionary to specialised resources like The Cadillac Performance Dictionary.
