The Humanities Digital Library is the open access library and catalogue for books published by the School of Advanced Study, University of London. A selection of ebook titles from the History collection is regularly added to the Catalogue. 

 

SNL Financial

SNLMarch 2017

The EUI Library has subscribed to SNL Financial platform.  SNL Financial provides data on 30,000 public and private banks worldwide.  The database provides profiles of financial institutions; institutional ownership information; templates of financial statements; market analysis; mergers and acquisitions information; maps of bank locations; filings and news.

Instructions on how to access the platform are in a PDF guide.  SNL Financial is published by S&P Global Market Intelligence.

EUobserverMarch 2017

EUobserver is an not-for-profit online news service covering the European Union and European affairs. It provides since 2000 daily news, in-depth reports, opinions and in-depth investigations on the European Union. It also offers a newsletter subscription and 3 Magazines: EuObserver Business; Regions and Cities; Europe in Review.

Digital edition of the Loeb Classical Library offering online access to important works of Greek and Latin literature alongside English translations.
The contents of the print books are mirrored in the digital library. Some formatting has necessarily changed for the digital environment, such as footnotes, but the page numbers and the substantive content are identical.

CHOThe Cambridge Histories Online and offers access to the print editions published since the 1960s. It contains over 350 printed volumes published since 1960 covering different areas in History and is updated continuously with new volumes as soon as they are published. 

The EUI Library has selected individual titles of interest to EUI members. Additional titles are regularly added to the collection.

With NYTimes.com Passes users have full access to the extensive breaking news, world news, and multimedia of The New York Times. On & Off-Campus access, Plus Smartphone/Mobile and Tablet NYT Apps is provided.
Users have unlimited access to articles in the date ranges 1851 – 1922 and 1981 until present.
Access to articles from 1923-1980 is limited to five articles per day for each user.

All users are required to register one time while On-Campus.

363 new titles have been added to the ACLS Humanities E-Book Collection.Our Institution has now access to a total of 4,496 titles in dozens of subject areas across the humanities. 

The scope of the collection covers Area Studies, Historical Studies, Art History, Literature, Political Science and Religion, with all parts of the world and all time periods included. 

Users can search the whole collection or individual books, using words or phrase within the full text, title, subject, or author. You can browse by subject, author, or title and read all or part of the e-book.
Records for individual ACLS titles have also been included in the Library Catalogue.

Agence Europe Daily Bulletin - new platform with expanded access

As of January 2015 the EUI Library has access to the revamped database of Agence Europe Daily Bulletin which provides online full-text access to Bulletin Quotidien Europe (French edition) and Europe Daily Bulletin (English edition) from 2000 onwards, covering the latest news and information on European political and economic integration.

Notice on the closing of the EUI CD-ROM Network

23 January 2015

After a lengthy review of the CD-ROM Network's level of usage, technical requirements for continued maintenance, and consideration of the  resources necessary to maintain such a system, it was decided to close the EUI CD-ROM Network (after 20 years of service). Some unexpected technical issues meant that the shut-down has taken place a little sooner than planned.

Steps are being taken to make the titles formerly on the CD-ROM Network, where possible, available for loan or for use on-site. The Catalogue will be updated accordingly.

Questions about the availability of individual titles formerly on the CD-ROM Network may be directed to the Library.

Oxford Language Dictionaries Online

Oxford Language Dictionaries Online provides access to Oxford’s unabridged bilingual dictionaries in French, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian and Chinese. Access includes online resources for language learning.

The online dictionaries include, amongst others, simple search, advanced search options to search the full text of the dictionary, or restrict a search to specific parts of speech, subject area, or language register, and perform Boolean searches.

Selected full-text e-books now available from Brill Online

EUI members now have access to over 200 e-book titles published by Brill through their Brill Online platform. The newly added titles are from the Humanties and International Law collections.

Records for individual Brill E-Book titles are included in the Library Catalogue.

352 ebook titles added to ACLS Humanities E-Book collection

ACLS Humanities EBook24 September 2014

The ACLS Humanities E-Book Collection has added 352 full-text ebooks, bringing the total number of full-text titles in this major collection to over 4,130 titles. The scope of the collection covers Area Studies, Historical Studies, Art History, Literature, Political Science and Religion, with all parts of the world and all time periods included. The aim is to include "books that remain vital to both scholars and advanced students, and are frequently cited in the literature."

Users can search the whole collection or individual books, using words or phrase within the full text, title, subject, or author. You can browse by subject, author, or title and read all or part of the e-book.
Records for individual ACLS titles have also been included in the Library Catalogue.

89 ebook titles added to Oxford Scholarship Online

With the addition of 89 titles to Oxford Scholarship Online, EUI users now have access to 6,581 ebooks in full-text from Oxford University Press. New titles are added to each subject collection on a monthly basis.

New Library Search Tools

The search options available to Library users have expanded significantly with the launch of a new online tool that allows for more in-depth searching across a wide range of our e-resources, including journal articles and book chapters.

  • Classic Catalogue: Library holdings of books, journals and e-resources
  • Journal Articles: Direct access to contents of thousands of e-journals
  • Primo: Multiple e-resources, including journal articles, e-book chapters, plus the Catalogue and Cadmus
