New Display Area

The New Display Area contains a selection of newly acquired books, periodicals, EUI theses and working papers.

All items on display must be consulted in the reading area next to the shelves, and should not be taken away to other areas of the Library.

Books

Books are marked by an orange slip with the next due date and remain on display for two weeks.

Books cannot be borrowed in this period, but may be reserved by placing a hold.

Published versions of EUI theses are also marked by a light blue book jacket and are kept with the books.

EUI Theses

Newly defended EUI theses are first bound, then placed on display for two weeks.

They can be reserved by placing a hold.

Some theses are available in electronic format in the Cadmus  database.

EUI Working Papers

Printed copies of new EUI working papers are marked with orange slips and remain on display for two weeks.

They can be reserved by placing a hold.

All papers are immediately available in electronic format in the Cadmus  database and are in the Library catalogue with links to .pdf files.

Periodicals

Periodicals are marked by pink slips. Each title is represented by one issue only (usually the latest).

Users interested in other issues can check the catalogue for holdings.

Periodicals remain on new display for at least one month.

Periodicals cannot be borrowed.
