ICPSR: Inter-University Consortium for Political & Social Research
The Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research| (ICPSR) data archive – hosted at the University of Michigan – is a repository of approximately 6,000 datasets (over 100,000 files) in core and interdisciplinary economics, political science, sociology, demography and other subject areas.
At the EUI, data from the ICPSR archive can only be downloaded by Library Administrators (see below for procedures).

The ICPSR archive has been collecting and collating data since 1962.

After confirmation of the Requestor's status (only current EUI members are permitted access) the data will be made available via FTP server or on DVD.
The Computing Service provides instructions on using ZIP files to compress and decompress data|.

Stata users please note:
Stata 10 manuals are located at 005.369 in both the VSP Reference Library and the Badia Library.
Stata 11 software and manuals are due for delivery in autumn 2009.
