Survey of Income and Program Participation (USA)
The Survey of Income and Program Participation (SIPP) is a U.S. Census Bureau longitudinal survey of the impact of state and federal government programmes on the well-being of American families.
The main objective of SIPP data is to provide comprehensive information about the income and programme participation of individuals and households in the USA, and about the principal determinants of income and programme participation. SIPP offers detailed information on cash and non-cash income on a subannual basis. The survey also collects data on taxes, assets, liabilities, and participation in government transfer programmes.
Data coverage is from 1984 to 2008.
This U.S. Census Bureau page provides content and technical information about the survey.
