Institutional Websites

Europa , the interinstitutional server of the EU, the main source for EU documents, publications, policies etc.

European Parliament , the official multilingual site of the EP

European Commission , the official multilingual site of the EC

European Court of Justice , the official multilingual site of the ECJ

Council of the EU , the official multilingual site of the Council of the EU

EU Official Resources

EUR-Lex  is the portal which provides direct free access to European Union law. The system allows users to consult the Official Journal of the European Union and it includes the treaties, legislation, case-law and legislative proposals. It offers extensive search options.

RAPID  is a database of the press releases of the European Union institutions with a variety of search options.

ECLAS  (European Commission Library Catalogue) contains the bibliographical records for EU and other International Organisation publications, commercially produced books and periodical articles on European affairs.

The Legislative Observatory  is a tool for following the Community decision-making process with links to the documents (administered by the European Parliament).

PreLex  is a database on inter-institutional procedures follows the major stages of the decision-making process between the Commission and the other institutions and has links to the documents.

Legal bibliography of European integration  is an annual bibliography on the legal issues of European integration compiled by the library  of the Court of Justice containing reference to books and periodical articles. A bimonthly update  is available on the Court’s website. 

IATE  is a multilingual dictionary, database produced by the translation service of the Commission.

EUROSTAT  is the Statistical Office of the European Communities.

EU Bookshop  This EU Publications Office digital library contains both historic and recent official publications. Pdf publications are free of charge and there is the possibility to order printed copies.

European Sources Online  provides information about the institutions, structures, countries, regions, peoples, policies and processes of the European Union and the wider Europe.

European Integration History Index  provides internet resources on the History of Europe after WWII in all languages.

Archive of European Integration  is an electronic repository and archive for research materials on the topic of European integration and unification.

European Navigator  is the Internet knowledge base whose educational approach provides students, teachers, researchers and anyone else interested in European issues with information on the history of European integration - multimedia and multilingual.

Europeana.eu  is a digital library containing 4 million items, including images, texts, audio and video, from European museums, galleries, libraries, archives and audio-visual collections

Agence Europe  is a daily bulletin (English version) on CDROM which contains news and information in full text on European economic and political integration from Europe daily bulletins and various supplements 1995 onwards. Prior to 1995 available in other formats along with similar publications.

European Integration Current Contents  publishes the tables of contents for 108 journals, in nine languages, relevant in European integration.

Eur-Activ  is a free portal giving EU news, policy positions and "EU actors".

Virtual full-text library of European documents (EDC Mannheim)  is a free interface to the CELEX database and other EU databases, which is very user-friendly although less sophisticated search options. Very useful for getting documents.
