Services for Former EUI Members

If you are not a member of the Alumni Association, you are very welcome to apply for access as an external visitor.

For all members of the Alumni Association registration is no longer necessary and they are entitled to the following rights:

 

 

Access & Rules


  • Monday to Saturday, 8.30-22.30
  • Library Closures
  • Use your AA card to enter the Library
  • Keep the AA card with you at all times
  • All users must respect library rules

Borrowing


  • Limited borrowing rights 
  • Maximum of 10 items at any one time
  • Loans may be renewed 12 times, if they have not been recalled or requested by another user
  • Users with overdue items are subject to fines 
  • Documents from EUI collection can be requested through the Interlibrary loans service of your home institution

Access to e-resources


Collections


  • Consult the Catalogue or Articles+ to find and locate materials
  • Most of the library’s holdings on open shelving
  • Requested material from storage delivered Monday to Friday. Material requested before 13.00 will be available later the same afternoon

Information services


  • Library entrance desk is staffed Monday to Friday,  9.00-19.00
  • Information Specialists  are available for specific enquiries

Photocopying & Printing & Scanning


  • EUI Alumni Association members Alumni Association have 500 free printouts, scans or photocopies per year
  • All network printers can copy, print and scan
  • In order to print from your laptop you have to map the network printers
  • Former EUI members not registered with the EUI  Alumni Association should use the multifunction machine dedicated to external users 
  • Technical assistance for local printers and multifunction, is provided by a technician who is always available from 8:30 to 17:30 on all days when the EUI is open mail:HelpDesk@eui.eu  

Using Computers


  • 8 wall-mounted PCs in the Library for Catalogue and Internet consultation
  • There are more than 50 computers in the Library
  • WiFi access via the EUI-WiFi
  • Most Library working spaces and tables have a fixed LAN cable for connecting your laptop to the Internet
