Grant Information for Denmark/Danmark

Acceptance at the EUI automatically entitles the candidate to a Ph.D. grant. Danish citizens should apply for admission to the EUI on the application forms provided for this purpose. An application to the EUI is automatically an application for a Ph.D. grant.

According to the agreement on salaried Ph.Ds., grant holders registered for the whole period at an institution abroad are awarded an annual basic salary of  DKK 210.010,00 (1997 level, pension included).

The amount is calculated on the basis of earning income from abroad, and taxed accordingly. Pension contributions are paid on the salary.
